JUSTICE FAIR 2021

The first "JUSTICE FAIR" organized by the Bar Chamber of Montenegro was held in the shopping center "Delta City" in Podgorica on October 8, 2021.

This unusual and original event was organized with the aim of promoting the legal professions, primarily the attorneys’ and the rule of law.

The opportunity was also used to promote the ENEMLOS project that deals with the improvement of higher education of future lawyers by introducing practical work in the education process, which realization would be unlikely without the valuable participation and support of the Bar Chamber of Montenegro.

The Fair was realized in two blocks.

The first block, called "LEGAL STORIES" took place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. In this block eminent lawyers talked about popular topics related to the legal professions, presented their interesting careers and shared exciting experiences from legal practice but also warm human stories.

The Fair was opened with a welcome speech by the Executive Director Dr Nina Radulović, and with the kind hostess of the program Bojana Bojović Golijanin in its continuation have talked:

   - Dr Rajka Đoković, Faculty of Law, University of Montenegro, on the topic "ENEMLOS and legal clinics - on the path from theory to practice"

   - Ilija Darmanović, attorney at law and former President of the Bar Chamber of Montenegro, on the topic "THE FIRST AMONG EQUAL"

   - Suzana Pribilović, former Minister of Public Administration in the Government of Montenegro, on the topic “A Judge in Politics”

   - Prof. Dr Blagota Mitrić, former President of the Constitutional Court of Montenegro, on the topic "Lawyer and Writer"

   - Dr Nina Radulović, attorney at law, on the topic "A Scientist in Advocacy"

The second block of the Fair referred to "LEGAL AID" which attorneys provided to citizens FREE OF CHARGE in the period from 4 to 7 p.m. At five thematic stands (Criminal Law, Civil Law, Family Law, Business Law and Green Legal Aid) attendance was enviable, despite the generally limited attendance of the mall due to the necessary Covid passes. The Civil Law stand was especially visited, but the visit of the Green Legal Aid stand by some diplomatic representatives interested in this initiative of the Bar Chamber of Montenegro was pleasantly surprising.

The "Justice Fair" would also not be a complete event without the accompanying stands related to law and legal professions, which enriched the offer of the Fair in the part intended for the professional public exclusively and future lawyers too. At the accompanying stands, you could find legal literature, magazines and software, an offer of educational programs in law, but also accompanying services, such as expert witnessing in the field of economy and finances.

The day ended with a gala dinner for the participants and friends (sponsors) of the Fair who celebrated its successful realization with delicious meals, fine drinks and in a good mood. The date of the Fair coincided with the birthday of its director, so the present ones were honored with a birthday cake for the end.

In a relaxed atmosphere, ideas for the improvement of the Fair were exchanged, whose next edition we hope to welcome in increased numbers of participants and with more significant support from the wider professional public.
